Numaish, is a big event in the history of Aligarh that has accomplished its 128 years of ecstasy and elation. During its foundation, only the administrators of the realm, viceroys, lords and treasures had the immense pleasure to enjoy the exposition in the contour of horse races and various contests. At that period of time this glee used to continue for three days but thereafter the exhibition was extended for week’s time and now they sprint for a complete month. In the early days the purpose of this fair (Mela) was to entertain all the treasures, but, later it took the shape of jives (Mehafils and Mujares). Gradually the big industrialists, farmers and famous chefs also turned out to be part of it. Delicious and yummy Halwa Paratha full of dry fruits became the special food of the exhibition. Now, Khjaula, the favourite dessert of all the villagers is also available at many stalls.

Also, the striking view all around the stalls confers a real look of advanced and developed villages which are equipped with all the modern facilities and demonstrate an outlook of healthy and decent villagers.
